Yoga Therapy is Yoga as a complementary and integrative Health approach.

The International Association of Yoga Therapy defines Yoga Therapy as:

"the professional application of the principles & practices of yoga to promote health and wellbeing within a therapeutic relationship that includes personalised assessment, goal setting, lifestyle management, and yoga practices for individuals or small groups."

​

The basic principle of Yoga is to reduce stress and stimulate relaxation and it is in this state that healing is enhanced and rehabilitation is facilitated.
